Silverlake was established in 2000 and combines 35 years of photographic experience
and a staff of creative artists to provide you with more than just products.
Everything we do is geared toward helping you increase your photographic skills

From our humble beginnings, we started manufacturing hand painted muslin backgrounds
for our own studio about 15 years ago. Word spread quickly and with the help
of the World Wide Web and many of the professional photography organizations,
we grew into a flourishing company. Then, the questions started pouring in.
In response to numerous questions we were receiving about lighting, posing,
and marketing, we focused our attention on educational materials and an expanded
range of products.
Since digital photography is not only here to stay, but finally affordable
