Playday with Sam and a sneak peek at two Sandy Puc inspired designs.
So, we had a great trip out to Littleton, Co. to visit Sam. We had a great time, although I am paying for it today.
Here are some goof shots and some a view of her studio loaded down with Silverlakes:
Sam sharing a Christmas treat with the studio mascot - Appropriately named Canon.
Here is a glimpse at two new Sandy Puc inspired by designs. I will have some better images around the middle of January. We shot all day long, but as with most studios, the Expressions imaging department is loaded down with Christmas orders and sessions that need to be processed first.
I did figure out a few of Sam's secret weapons.
1. She has an incredible studio. It is beautifully decorated and extremely high end.
2. She has surrounded herself with an excellent staff. While in the studio, Sam primarily focuses on getting the image while an assistant works on the attention and expression of the child.
3. Most importantly....She has tons of matching outfits. I know I counted two good sized rooms that were full of outfits in various sizes and colors to coordinate any family or child. The sessions that came in were in street clothes and looked descent, but anyone that was in an unflattering article of clothing was whisked off to a dressing room for something more appropriate. The transformation was amazing. Having a studio wardrobe also took control of the whole situation of clients who don't listen to clothing advice. Either Sam or Helen would look at them and go, "Hmmm. I have a shirt that would look perfect with this backdrop." Problem solved. It was truly something to witness.

Yeah...any guesses as to which one of the three monkeys least likes being in front of the lens?
While we were there, Sam was gracious enough to do a couples session with Paula and I. We got some really good images. I will post them when I get them.

Good news and bad news on the tour. We are bumping up against some sponsor exclusivity political issues. I won't mention any names, but one of the companies is adamant about having an exclusive arrangement for this tour. The good news is that Sam has some really exciting projects in the wings and we are excited to be in a position to work with her on them. So, we will be coming to a city near you, but not with this years tour. I will post more details when I am cleared to do so.

Yes. The yellow and blue is ours. That is one of Sandy's inspired by designs. Are you kidding me? We burned every other background in her studio while we were there.

Yup. It is a gorgeous place. She is still fine tuning some of the personal spaces, but everything a customer would see is first class.
